Thousands hold march against Islamophobia in Paris
Activists hold a rally against Islamophobia in Paris on Sunday, November 10, following a call from the Collective contre l’islamophobie in France (CCIF), in the wake of the shooting at a mosque in Bayonne and the verbal abuse towards a Muslim mother during a school trip at a regional parliament.
Secretary-General of the CGT union Philippe Martinez and MEP Yannick Jadot are expected to take part in the event while several other politicians have decided to disengage themselves from the movement following accusations that the CCIF possesses links with the Muslim Brotherhood.
