Israeli forces fired on Palestinians at the Israel-Gaza border during the third Friday of the ‘March of Return’ protests, in the Khan Younis area in southern Gaza on Friday. Footage also shows clashes between Palestinians and Israeli forces, burning tires and rising smoke. The Gazan health ministry said that at least 968 people were wounded by gunfire and tear gas on Friday.Since the protests began three weeks ago, at least 28 Palestinians have been killed by Israeli forces. Israel does not release figures and rejects suggestions that it uses excessive force. The six-week long ‘Great March’ is a demand to what Palestinian protesters say is their right to return to land which has now been claimed by Israel.
