Space FOOTBALL in 360 – See cosmonauts gearing up for World Cup

June 01, 2018 at 18:15 (GMT) · Published

See the Russian cosmonauts aboard the International Space Station (ISS) getting ready for this summer’s FIFA World Cup by practising football in zero-gravity. The commander of the Expedition-55 Anton Shkaplerov and flight engineer Oleg Artyemyev practised their penalty taking skills using the World Cup’s official match ball, and it seemed as if the cosmonauts were very much ready for football’s greatest showpiece. Both men are due to return to Earth on June 3, well before the opening game of the World Cup at Moscow's Luzhniki Stadium on June 14.
