Self-proclaimed oldest man in the world casts vote in Indian general elections

Swami Sivananda, an Indian monk who claims to be the oldest man in the world at the age of 123 cast his vote in Varanasi on Sunday, in the last phase of the Indian general elections.

Sinavanda was born in 1896, according to his passport. India's passport authorities reportedly confirmed his age from a temple registration.

Sivananda expressed support to the BJP Party, which according to him "is working for the country, serving the country."

The general election in the country was held through seven phases from April 11 to May 19. The official results are to be declared on Thursday by the Indian election commission.
