SOT, Jay, Assange supporter: "Like many people I'm disturbed about the reaction to Julian Assange and Wikileaks for their exposures of wrong doings by governments and very powerful people who are actually hitting back and trying and trying to silence him and the rest of us. I think that is the big thing that is going at the moment and the other thing is the disgraceful way in which he is being personally vilified. Not attacking what he had to say but trying to destroy him as a character. That is wrong and for my part I will join with other people trying to put a stop to it."

SOT, Silvia Bennett, Assange supporter: " It's about the media here in Australia, most of whom are run by corporations, most of whom are run by corporations and the ABC who does nothing and SBS who does nothing. I watch them, I listen to them, they don't mention Julian Assange, they don't mention so many things that are important to the people in Australia, and the people need to know the truth."

SOT, Anita, Assange supporter: "It's very very wrong what's happening. Julian should not be in jail. The people that should be in jail are running around free. He brought us the truth and we want to hear the truth, and the truth prevails, and what's happening today is not right, and we are here to protest against that and let's hope justice comes to Julian and he doesn't get extradite to the US."

SOT, Christy, Assange supporter: "Julian is the quintessential Australian, he is a fair dinkum aussie. He's called out the bull, he knows his rights and he's sharing it with everybody. That's what WikiLeaks is, WikiLeaks is our newspaper agent, our news."
