USA: Warren, Gabbard and Yang address cheering supporters at Democratic convention

United States, Manchester
September 08, 2019 at 01:55 GMT +00:00 · Published

As the New Hampshire Democratic Party got under way at the SNHU Arena in Manchester, presidential candidates Andrew Yang, Elizabeth Warren and Tulsi Gabbard made their pitches for their party’s nomination for the 2020 US Presidential election.

A cheering crowd greeted congresswoman Elizabeth Warren as she warned: "There is a lot at stake and people are scared. But we can't choose a candidate we don't believe in because we're scared. And we can’t ask other people to vote for someone we don't believe in."

Congresswoman Tulsi Gabbard, who served in Iraq, vowed to stop “warmongers from both parties” from dragging the country into "one regime war to the next."

Businessman and candidate Andrew Yang asked voters for their support to solve the problems that "got Donald Trump into the Oval office in 2016."

"It's up to you to take the country in the right direction as quickly as possible", he said.
