Italy: Giant paper globe set alight as Milan joins climate strike
Environmental activists joined a climate strike in the Italian city of Milan on Friday, demanding action from the government.
The demonstration is part of a global series of actions taking place between September 20 and 27. Protesters set light to a large paper globe in the centre of Milan. They watched it burn while holding banners with slogans such as "Save the planet" and "There's no planet B."
The global action was inspired by Swedish teenage activist Greta Thunberg.
