Spain: Real Madrid's conceded goals 'were a joke', says Zidane after 2-2 draw with Brugge

Real Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane told journalists that the goals his team conceded in the 2-2 draw against Club Brugge in the Champions League, were "a joke." Zidane made the remarks during a post-match press conference in Madrid on Tuesday.

"I don't have to explain anything. The reality is that we had a bad first half; we entered the match badly. Well not the first 10-15 minutes but then the opponent put us into difficulties and we couldn't control the game," said Zidane. "Then the second half was different. We had a different attitude and we changed the game. So I want to underline this reaction and the players because in the end it is them who changed the game."

"Well, this can happen during a game. For example, the goals we conceded were a joke. Nothing more. This can happen and we know it but we don't what this to happen. We know this is the Champions League, and we knew we had to get the three points, or at least try to get them from early on, from the first minute until the 90th minute," he added.

Belgian side Club Brugge put on an impressive performance against the Spanish giants at the Santiago Bernabeu in Madrid, opening the score with two goals from Emmanuel Dennis. In the second half, Real Madrid managed to level the score with goals from Sergio Ramos and Casemiro.
