France: Deschamps satisfied with tie against Turkey after 'no contest' away game
Didier Deschamps, the French squad's coach, said he was satisfied with his team's efforts in a post-game presser in Paris on Monday after France and Turkey tied 1-1 in a Euro 2020 qualifier match at the Stade de France.
"I'm satisfied with what we did, we knew [Turkey] would be a tough opponent. In the away game there was no contest, tonight was closer, we did what we could, but without the result, we were hoping for," he said.
Turkey beat France 2-0 in June, in what Deschamps previously described as being "outclassed" by the Turkish squad.
Euro 2020 will take place in 12 host cities across Europe from June 12 to July 12, 2020.
