UK: Corbyn and Johnson spar at first PMQs since general election agreed
Conservative leader Boris Johnson and his Labour rival Jeremy Corbyn sparred at the first Prime Minister's Questions since a December general election was called in London on Wednesday.
Johnson called for "the politics of leadership" rather than "the politics of protest" represented by his opponent.
The prime minister won his fourth bid to go the the polls late on Tuesday evening.
Corbyn's attack focused on the National Health Service (NHS) which he said was "up for grabs by US corporations in a Trump-style trade deal."
"Our NHS should be focused on making people better, not the wealthy few richer," he added.
The UK is heading to the polls on December 12, the first Christmas-time election since 1923.
