Russia: Khabib Nurmagomedov opens martial arts school in Makhachkala
UFC lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov opened a martial arts school in his home city Makhachkala in Dagestan on Monday.
The school, which is named after Nurmagomedov’s father Abdulmanap, has place for around 200 athletes to train simultaneously.
“Here we will have combat sambo and grappling fights, Thai boxing, MMA, and we will provide all the conditions for children to come here and train, the younger generation to spend time in the hall,” said Nurmagomedov.
The UFC champ also discussed his upcoming fight against American Tony Ferguson.
“I will train even more because I’ve got a worthy challenger, he is very good, very dangerous,” he said.
The fight between Nurmegomedov and Ferguson is expected to take place in April.
