Russia: ISS Expedition 60 complete post-flight rehabilitation
International Space Station Expedition 60 crew announced that their post-flight re-adaption was over in Star City on Tuesday.
The trio, Russian cosmonaut Alexei Ovchinin and US astronaut Nick Hague, along with the first-ever Emirati astronaut Hazza Al Mansouri, laid flowers at a monument in honour of Soviet space icon Yuri Gagarin and briefed the press afterwards outside the cosmonaut training centre.
“The rehabilitation has been completed. As you can see, I am alive and healthy, which means the rehabilitation was successful,” Ovchinin said.
“I really want to share thanks to Star City, Roscosmos and Russian people for giving this chance to be part of international cooperation,” UAE’s Mansouri added.
NASA’s Hague on his part said the occasion “gives us the opportunity to enjoy days like this, beautiful weather in Star City, and get to be together as a crew for the first time since we landed two months ago.”
The astronauts returned back to Earth on board the Soyuz MS-12 aircraft on October 3.
