Eleven-year-old bodybuilder Timofey Klevakin from the town of Shalya in Russia's Sverdlovsk region can do rings around most adults, as he demonstrated on Tuesday by pulling cars and flipping tractor tires.

The young boy has gone to the gym since he was five, when he started training with his father, Arseniy Klevakin. Arseniy saw his son enjoy training and developed his interest in the sport.

"He went with me to the gym since he was five. He just played at first, then he jumped rope, took hoola hoop and ran with it. Then we noticed that he started to take light dumbbells, repeated after [his] father and [other] people, looked how they did it, tried to raise their dumbbells," said the boy’s father.

Nowadays Timofey takes part in deadlift competitions. He weigh 37.4 kilogrammes (82.5 pounds), and is able to lift 100 kilogrammes (220 pounds). At first, relatives worried about the boy’s interest, but Timofey was adamant.

"Mother asked me: 'Why do you need this, Timofey? You will have big problems when you grow up'. I answered: 'I am fascinated with it and it’s the most important thing in my life'" he said.

The boy’s father doesn’t think that the workouts will effect to Timofey’s health: "Every three or four months we are followed up with by doctors and surgeons. Of course, everyone says that he doesn't need such pressures at his age. But there are not any pathologies, and I think there won't be," stated Arseniy.

The young sportsman dreams "to be respected and to be known."
