Sweden: A$AP Rocky returns to Stockholm for concert months after suspended sentence

US rapper A$AP Rocky was back in Stockholm on Wednesday for a concert, four months after he received a suspended sentence on assault charges.

Footage shows fans queuing outside the concert venue, despite the cold.

"We saw about the new concert that he was giving after the jail time and stuff, and we were too excited to come," said Carlos, one of A$AP Rocky's fans.

The US rapper's booking agency announced that the concert's proceeds will go to a local charity that supports refugees, an initiative that was welcomed by the fans.

"I think he is trying to give back, there are some racist people here in Sweden that think it was good what he did, that he beat up those immigrants. He shouldn't have done that, but you know, he doesn't want the racism to follow him, so I think it's very good," shared Leo.

The artist and his two companions received suspended sentences for beating 19-year-old Mustafa Jafari during a street fight in Stockholm in June 30.
