Russian biathlete Alexander Loginov left his hotel in Italy's Rasen-Antholz, after his decision to pull out from the mass-start race at the 2020 Biathlon World Championships in Italy, as footage filmed on Sunday shows.

Alexander Loginov talked about the Italian police's raid of his hotel room, mentioning that they entered his room during late hours, adding that the policemen were "rude enough" with him, as they took away his opener knife, adding "am I a criminal or what, since they took my opener knife away?"

The Russian biathlon athlete Alexander Kasperovich clarified his decision saying he was not "hundred per cent" ready to take part in the competition as he was having a problem with concentrating.

Loginov's personal trainer Alexander Kasperovich clarified their next steps saying "First of all, it is necessary to defend the athletes which is the most important task and to completely explain [the situation] not only to the international federations but to our leadership."

The 28-year-old biathlete was disqualified from racing for doping between 2014 and 2016.

Kasperovich was also suspected of using a Ukrainian document issued for another person.

The biathlon world championship has been going on in Rasen-Antholz since February 13, where Alexander Loginov claimed the first place in the 10 km (6,2 miles) race and third place in the 12.5 km (7,7 miles) race.
